 T he Environmental Health department of the Twifo Atti-morkwa district assembly in the central region has embarked on mass dogs killing on the principal street of Twifo Praso. According to Mr. Emmanuel Forson who is the Environmental Health Officer at the Twifo Atti-morkwa district assembly, the exercise was to reduce the many roaming dogs on the streets of the district capital, Twifo Praso which poses eminent threat to human lives and vulnerable animals on the streets. He explained the most worrying behaviour of these roaming dogs that, these dogs catch and kill other animals such as sheep, goats, guinea fowls, turkey and bite people on the streets without any cause. Adding that aside the dangers that these dogs pose, they also defecate on the streets haphazardly which also can result in health issues among the populates. A 27-year-old electrician (car)has been murdered on Adrobaa-Duayaw Nkwanta road  a subway to Duayaw Nkwanta. Kofi Douglas ,popularly known in Chiraa as “The Don”  a electrician, was assailed by unknown persons around 8.00pm on Tuesday evening and left in cold blood. The perpetrators fled away with his motorcycle and mobile phone from him. Meanwhile, the deceased body was later discovered by passers on late hours of Wednesday and has been deposited at the morgue at the  St.Johns of God Hospital in Duayaw Nkwanta.  NGO calls for mass arrest of men in Ofoase Ayirebi sexually abuse scandal. An NGO ,Ark Development Organization is calling on the Ghana Police Service to invade Ofoase Ayirebi constituency to embark on mass arrest of men who have sexually abused teenage girls in the area. The NGO says hundreds of men are suspects in this horrifying sexual abuse cases. It follows media report of harrowing  incidents of sexual abuse cases  in Ofoase Ayirebi constituency of Akyemansa district in Eastern region which have either left many teenage girls permanently traumatized or impregnated . Sadly, the perpetrators have been let loose. Whereas majority of the victims have dropped out of  school, others are still persevering to continue their education but performing poorly as a result of their conditions.
