 Yirenkyikrom Youth task politicians to stop illegal mining from their land.


Yirenkyikrom development association has cautioned traditional authority and the government officials to stop galamsey activities which has commence at Yirenkyikrom in the Kwahu south municipality in the eastern region.


According to them, the politicians in the area including the member of Parliament for Kwahu Mpraeso constituency Mr. Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK), the Eastern Regional Minister Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong and the Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Ofori Atta Senior because since they draw their attention on the illegal mining menace, nothing has been done till now.


"If they still insist the necessary action has to be taken.


The youth has premeditate demonstration against the traditional authorities, government officials and anyone who matter as soon as possible.
